Description:
SUMMARY: To assemble the discharged outpatient medical records performing quantitative analysis and confirming a complete medical record. Files any loose reports for Outpatient Services. The abstractor also has the responsibility of maintaining accurate hospital patient statistical data on a regular basis with submission to Administration after the end of each month.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: One to three years related experience and/or training. Ability to calculate figures and amounts and determine appropriateness of stated value. Ability to follow a multi-step procedure from start to finish and analyze for deficiencies in the process.
