“After a very thorough search, the Labette Health Board of Trustees is excited to welcome Mr. Brian Williams to our hospital and to our community,” said Perry Sorrell, Board of Trustees President. “With Mr. Williams’ excellent credentials and a proven track record of leadership and business development, we believe he is the right fit for Labette Health and the communities we serve.”

Mr. Williams comes to Labette Health from CoxHealth where he serves as Vice President, Chief Business Development and Neurosciences. Mr. Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has a Bachelor of Science from Southwest Missouri University and a Master of Business Administration from Drury University. Mr. Williams is retired from the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

“The healthcare industry is undergoing an unprecedented period of change and challenge,” Sorrell said. “This is especially true in rural health care. Consequently, the need and demand for exceptional leadership at Labette Health is more acute than ever.”

Plans are for Mr. Williams to assume the role no later than September 1st, 2015.

“I am extremely excited, honored, and humbled by the opportunity to joint the team at Labette Health,” said Brian Williams. “I look forward to working with community members, county commissioners, Board of Trustees, medical staff, staff and administration to help fulfill the mission and vision of Labette Health. Healthcare is a deeply personal experience, and as our mission states, it should be ‘Centered Around You’, the individual with an ever vigilant goal of enhancing the health of all we serve. I am confident that my experiences at CoxHealth have prepared my well to work with this team, and I look forward to seeing everyone soon.”
